Cherry Red Summer (Kirschroter Sommer #1) by Carina Bartsch

Hello, you cute cover. I don’t remember you. Sorry.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Pismo gospođe Vilme (The letter from Mrs Vilma) by Jelena Bačić Alimpić

Ah, a Serbian book – I am sure I would love it. I don’t think there is an English translation of this. Please correct me if I am wrong. At this moment, I don’t see how I can get a copy, but I would love to read it someday, so I will keep it.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Bridesmaids by Jane Costello

See, I would have loved this book a while ago. But not now, not today.

Verdict: ☑ REMOVE ✖

In Flight (Up in the Air, #1) byR.K. Lilley

This synopsis reminds me of, like, a Fifty Shades of Flight Attendant? But, I have never read a book about flight attendants, and might be interested to see what it reveals. (Even though, secretly, I kind of know it would be all romance and nothing flight-attendant related, but oh well…)

Verdict: KEEP ☑

Getting Away with It by Julie Cohen

This one is a maybe? I am really not sure, guys… What do you think I should do? If you don’t convince me, I’ll remove it. 🙂

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

From Notting Hill with Love… Actually (Actually, #1) by Ali McNamara

I actually own another book by Ali McNamara, and I will be reading that soon. It’s called Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van. I bough it for my birthday in November, as travelling with an RV and sending postcards/letters is something I would love to be able to do in my life someday.

Verdict:  REMOVE ✖

Cartes Postales from Greece by Victoria Hislop

Book about postcards – I have to read it!!!

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Noir by Christopher Moore

I have only read one noir book so far, and I liked the genre. I kept seeing this book being hyped everywhere, so I think it’s fair to give it a chance.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

The Home for Unwanted Girls by Joanna Goodman

This book was one of the most-wanted books for me in 2018. Now we’re in 2019, and I still want it as bad!

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

One for the Money(Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich

I heard about this series recently, and I am always down for a brave heroine in a book. You go girl!

Verdict: KEEP ☑

flower-divider-flower-dividers-clip-art-flowers-line-divider-stock-vector-illustration-of-elegantRemoving 4 books from my TBR this time. We’re making progress guys!

Which books would you keep or remove? Please let me know in the comments – I love reading your comments and thoughts!

The Stepmother by Claire Seeber

I love psychological thrillers, and I have heard many great things about this book. I think this one should stay.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Dear Amy by Helen Callaghan

Again, a psychological thriller. I also have a thing for book that include letters or postcards, as I love receiving them myself.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Letters from Home by Kristina McMorris

Okay, I am not much of a fan of romance these days, but this is something that I know I will enjoy reading, so I will keep it right here.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Next to Love by Ellen Feldman

This one, I will have to let it go.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

The Rejected Writers’ Book Club (Southlea Bay, #1) by Suzanne Kelman

I have been wanting to read this book since the day I put it on my TBR. I have to get it from somewhere, soon!

Verdict: KEEP ☑

Iron Heart: The True Story of How I Came Back from the Dead by Brian Boyle

I think for such story you need to be at the right mindset.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Good as Gone by Amy Gentry

I am not sure about this one. It doesn’t capture my interest at first sight. What do you guys think?

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Insatiable Desire(Demonborn, #1) by Rita Herron

Oooh, paranormal romance – let’s keep this one.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

What Is Mine (Vik & Stubø, #1) by Anne Holt

The synopsis is so intriguing and dark. I have to read this one.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Hubble Bubble by Christina Jones

I am not sure about this one…

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Well, this was one very random selection of books. I managed to remove 4 and keep 6, so I am pleased with myself. And my TBR is getting ”healthier” and not so intimidating.

Let me know if you have read any of these, and if you want me to keep or remove any of these books from my list! I look forward to see what you think!

Agent to the Stars by John Scalzy

I haven’t heard about this book, and I don’t know what it’s doing on my TBR honestly.

Verdict:  REMOVE ✖

Sandstorm (Sigma Force, #1) by James Rollins

I have heard mixed reviews about this one, and usually it’s either a 1 star or a 5 star. Not sure what to do with it.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Strong Poison (Lord Peter Wimsey, #6) by Dorothy L. Sayers

It’s book number 6 in a series, and I haven’t read the previous one. But I have added the first book of the series on my TBR instead.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Walk on Earth a Stranger(The Gold Seer Trilogy, #1) by Rae Carson

I have heard so many great things about this book, but some of my friends really trashed it, so I am not sure what to do. I will keep it for now, and hopefully will come back to it later in the new year.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

Obsession (Talisman, #1) by Sofia Grey

Interesting plot, but I am not sure if this is the right genre for me at the moment.

Verdict:  REMOVE ✖

Love’s Prophecy (Prophecy, #1) by Brenda Dyer

A paranormal vampire fantasy book? GIVE IT TO ME! I haven’t heard about this book or author before, and I am not sure when/how this ended on my TBR, but the synopsis is so intriguing, I want to read this book so bad!

Verdict: KEEP ☑

The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman

I have a thing for lighthouses. It’s true. And I still don’t know how I haven’t picked this book up yet.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver

A hard book to read, and I am not sure if I want to dive into it.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1) by Susan Dennard

With too many witch books right now, this one seems to have so many bad reviews. I will pass on for now.

Verdict:  ☑ REMOVE ✖

Currawong Creek by Jennifer Scoular

Um, who are you and how did you end up on my TBR?

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

flower-divider-flower-dividers-clip-art-flowers-line-divider-stock-vector-illustration-of-elegant

I managed to remove 7 this time. My TBR is looking happier already!

Let me know if you have read any of these, and if you want me to keep or remove any of these books from my list! I look forward to see what you think!

Here’s the next patch:

#12

The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr

The synopsis seems great, don’t get me wrong, but honestly, I don’t think I will pick this book up unless I receive it as a gift or something.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Girls of Paper and Fire (Girls of Paper and Fire, #1) by Natasha Ngan

Okay, who hasn’t heard about this book? I have been dreading to read it for months and months now. Definitely staying on this list, probably forever!

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Lifel1k3 (Lifelike, #1) by Jay Kristoff

This reminds me of Warcross for some reason. And I know it’s not connected at all, but it just does. And I can’t wait to have the opportunity to read it!

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

One Crazy Summer (Gaither Sisters, #1) by Rita Williams-Garcia

Umm, I don’t know why I have this book on my list.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern

I love Cecelia Ahern, and I had ALL OF HER BOOKS added to my TBR. Before making this post I realised that if I didn’t do something, the rest of the next 3 posts will be all about her. So I decided to only choose one book at a time from her, and read them one by one, and add them on my TBR one by one. So this one stayed.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks

The same happens with Nicholas Sparks. He was the romance author I spend my childhood with. I cried over all of his books, and they all have a special place in my heart. It is still my goal to read ALL the books he has written, one by one.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

Дениција by Петре М. Андреевски (Denicija by Petre M. Andreevski)

This is a Macedonian book. Poetry full of love and humanity, and a lot of moments of lost loved ones. This one is a gem, and a treasure I carry in my heart from the country I was born in. I am keeping it.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

The Night Masquerade (Binti, #3) by Nnedi Okorafor

If you already know me and my posts, you will know that I never keep a book that is not first in a series, unless I have read the previous books. This is the reason I am removing this one, but I have added the first book to my TBR – so let’s call it even 🙂

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer

I have to keep this. I mean, this has to be read by every bookworm, right?

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer, #1) by Laini Taylor

Okay, honestly, this has been the hardest Down The TBR Hole Tag ever. It has all the books I want to read, and it’s so hard to get rid of them. I am keeping this one, because I am in love with the cover and synopsis. And don’t forget all the hype it gets. It gets me curious of whether it’s all worth it.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

flower-divider-flower-dividers-clip-art-flowers-line-divider-stock-vector-illustration-of-elegant

As this was the last entry in 2018, I will do a little statistic of what I have done in these past 12 Down The TBR Hole posts,

I have listed 120 titles, of which I have kept 71 and I have removed 49. 268 titles still remain to be listed from my TBR List (27 more posts), and I can’t wait to see my end results.

Let me know if you have read any of these, and if you want me to keep or remove any of these books from my list! I look forward to see what you think!

I am always excited when doing this, and a few days before Christmas, I am in the mood of just keeping all books, so I know this will be a tough one.

Credit for this tag goes to Lost in a Story.

How it works:

❤ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
❤ Order on ascending date added.
❤ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books.
❤ Read the synopsis of the books.

Here’s the next patch:

down the tbr hole book blog books love novel author writer diary of difference

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi

I did a summer challenge this year, where I read books that my sister recommended. Some of the books were cringy, but some of them were hidden gems and I am so grateful to her for letting me find them. This is one of the recommendations, but I never got to read it. I am keeping it, as I am curious how it will turn out.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Toil & Trouble: 15 Tales of Women & Witchcraft by Tess Sharpe

Look at that cover! Ever since I saw it, I wanted to have it! And I kept hearing amazing stories, and I love witches and witchcraft. Can’t let go of this one.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O’Neill

Again, very hard choice, as I had this book on my TBR for a very long time, but every time I read that synopsis, I keep being reminded how much I need it.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

The Love of Her Life by Harriet Evans

I used to love reading these types of books, but at the moment I am not in a mood for chick-lit.

Verdict:  REMOVE ✖

Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak

Markus Zusak? Yes, please! But this time, I will remove this book, because I already have a few other books from him on my list.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

The English Agent by Clare Harvey

After reading The Night Raid, I had to read another another book from Clare Harvey. Looking forward to read this one.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

The Astrologer’s Daughter by Rebecca Lim

I am not sure why I have this book on my list. Seems alright, but not interesting enough to keep my attention.

Verdict:  REMOVE ✖

Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple #1) by Agatha Christie

I love Agatha Christie, and I loved the type of mystery she writes. This is the first book from the Miss Marple series, and I have to read it. AND SOON!

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Come Sundown by Nora Roberts

The Obsession by Nora Roberts

I am putting both of the Nora Roberts books together, because I will remove them both. No particular reason, I actually love reading her novels. But she has so many, and I have a lot of them on my TBR, so I decided to only keep one at a time from her, starting from the ones I would want to read the most. And these two don’t seem that interesting at the moment.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

flower-divider-flower-dividers-clip-art-flowers-line-divider-stock-vector-illustration-of-elegant

My TBR has improved so much!!! I am so happy, and looking forward to listing all my books and reducing my TBR even more. I managed to remove 5 books this week.

Let me know if you have read any of these, and if you want me to keep or remove any of these books from my list! I look forward to see what you think!
