Halloween Is Coming!

Boo! Halloween is coming!

This will be my first real celebration of Halloween since I moved in the UK. I didn’t celebrate it last year, but now I have moved into a house on the ground floor, and I can actually put decorations and greet little scary kids, so I am really looking forward to the 31st of October.

Do you have any tips for me, as a first time celebrator?

In the postcard that Anouk sent me from The Netherlands, he writes that he hates Halloween, because he is easily scared.

And here I am, not really sure what to do, and how to properly celebrate it. I shall put decorations in front of my house, and a pumpkin, which symbolizes that you want kids knocking on your door. I have already bought candies and a lot of little surprises, and I am all hyped up, even though there are 3 weeks to go until Halloween actually comes.

What is your experience with Halloween? I am looking forward to hearing your answers 🙂

The Art Of Carl Larsson In A Postcard

postcard
Brita in the drawing room – painted by Carl Larsson

When the love for receiving postcard will combine with the love of art, this is what happens.

It makes my day!

For those that are not aware, Carl Larsson was a Swedish painter, mostly painting using oils, watercolors, and frescoes. He considered his finest work to be Midvinterblot (Midwinter Sacrifice), a large painting now displayed inside the Swedish National Museum of Fine Arts.

The postcard that I have received is called Brita in the Drawing Room.

I really love it and this that it is ahead of its time.

Let’s travel the world!

Have you ever wondered how amazing the world would look if you saw it from above?

I wonder every day.

I see this postcard from Martina and I can’t help myself but daydream how I am there, on that hot air balloon and I see different countries. People say, when you get to be in the clouds, so high up there in the sky, you realise how small everyday problems are.

Some people argue about who gets to pay, who is right and who is wrong, who lied and who didn’t, and some people are there in the clouds and they know how lucky they are to be alive.

Let’s argue about travelling then.

Let’s travel!

Who goes first?

Victoria Harbour – an irresistible place

This postcard was travelling a lot, that’s for sure, my friends!

It came from Hong Kong, and it took it 4 months. So, so long. But I’m glad it reached me.

I’ve never been to Hong Kong, and as the back of the postcard says, it’s an incredible place.

This postcard will show you the Victoria Harbour – Braemar Hil, which is located at the east of Hong Kong Island, near the Fortress Hill MTR station. It is near the Victoria Harbour but it is only 199 meters high. The view there is clear as there are not many buildings under it.

Postcard From the Netherlands

I got a postcard from the Netherlands.

I can’t explain how much I love postcrossing.

Petra sends me warm greetings from Friesland. She also loves to travel, just like I do.

And she loves Disneyland. I’ve never been to a Disneyland, but I’m sure it’s an unforgettable experience.

Thank you Petra! ❤

Goals in life

Before I start talking about goals in life, what is actually life? When do we know that we live? Does every person live, or some of them just come and go, without ever living?

We are all born and we all spend our lives here, on Earth. But some of us don’t live their lives. We all pass through the same stages of life, we are all children and we all love to play, and then we just grow up, and we have different aspirations in life, different ideas and opinions, and different goals, of which I’ll speak today.

Does it means that you’ve lived, if you actually live like others tell you? Does it count as living if you never get to do all those stuff that you thought are amazing and special? Do you actually live, if you’re not happy while you’re living?

I don’t think so.

I think a person lives at that moment when he starts achieving his goals. And we all have different goals. Lara, for example, the girl that sent me this postcard, loves bikes and she has a mountain one. But she wants to have a bike that she can actually drive in the city. I want to go and travel the world with my boyfriend, and live in a small cottage around nature and river and a lot of trees and a fireplace in my home, and read lots of books and drink tea. Many people want to have good jobs and families, and live nice, and those are great goals. Some of them want to travel. visit random places, or be popular and earn a lot of money.

And it doesn’t matter what our goals are. What matters in the end, is that we are happy with what we are doing, because then we are happy with our life. Then we truly live. We could live on this planet and do nothing, but where are the benefits of that? Where is the excitement of life and all the adventures we could have? Where is the love, and where is the happiness?

It is all gone, without our goals. 🙂

Postcard of nature

Have you ever been to Russia, guys? I haven’t. I want to go. Basically, I want to go to all the places I haven’t been, which makes sense, right? It makes sense to me 🙂

Thanks to Larisa, I got this amazing card from Sochi, Russia. I love it because it’s unusual to me. It is the entrance of the famous Sochi Park, and it reminds me of the place I lived when I was in France in the summer 2014. Larisa says a lot of rare plants grow there, and I love that fact. It is so beautiful, and green, and colorful, and I love it!

Happy Earth Day 2016

Maybe you remember my post about how I want to become a flower, or a fairy. I got lucky by getting another postcard connected to flowers, this time from Finland. I decided to post it now, because today is a special day. The day of the planet Earth.

Tiina made me remember of flowers again, how lovely they are and how much love they have and share. The whole postcard was filled with flowers, the front, the back, the lovely stamps from flowers from Finland. I can’t forget about the cute cat. It’s impossible hehe .

Today is the day of the planet Earth. It’s not just that. It’s the day of the living stings, the day of the nature, the day of the people. If this planet didn’t exist, we wouldn’t be here right now, and I wouldn’t be writing this, you wouldn’t be reading this.

It is true, and we often forget it. WE DON’T HAVE OTHER PLANET. It’s the only one that we can live in. Let’s overwhelm it with flowers and trees, and a lot of green plants. Let’s make every single building surrounded with colors and fresh smell of nature.

Let’s be happy people, and let’s share our happiness with other people too. Don’t wait for Monday, or January the first. Start now! Go out in the green park, talk to a stranger, give a flower to a random girl, help an old lady cross the street. Forget about evil for a second. No, forget about evil for a year. Share happiness, and happiness will come to you. Be the person you always wanted to be, and I promise, you will fill satisfied and fulfilled.
