➥ The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book has been praised by the entire book community. Therefore, it is significantly important I do not ignore those precious signs. You, book, must stay.

➥The Lost for Words Bookshop by Stephanie Butland

A cute cover and even cuter synopsis. I am certain I will undeniably love this book, and it has to remain on my humongous shelf.

➥ Sirens (Aidan Waits Thriller, #1) by Joseph Knox

Well, we have a thriller here, which is a genre I greatly enjoy. On top of that, we have a main character who is disgraced, emotionally damaged and despised by his superiors. I can assume he is also really handsome. The perfect antihero. Yes!

Verdict: KEEP  ☑ 

➥ An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1) by Sabaa Tahir

Now, this one deserves a little discussion. I haven’t read An Ember in the Ashes, but I did read the second book instead. (See my review of A Torch Against The Night). I really loved the second book, but I somehow think that reading the first book would be a waste of time. Should I move to the third book, or should I read the whole series again, from the beginning? I am leaving this in your hands, my dears!

➥ I Would Have Saved Them If I Could by Leonard Michaels

Even though it has been recommended to me by a friend of mine, I don’t think this would be a book I’d enjoy. I will remove it.

➥ Murder, Curlers, and Cream(Valentine Beaumont Mysteries #1) by Arlene McFarlane

This book is so pinky and fluffy. Even though not my preferred choice, it could be part of my summer read plans. It remains on my Down the TBR Hole as a positive.

Verdict: KEEP ☑ 

➥ Vampirist: A book about real vampires by Cecilia Fredriksson

I love vampires, and this book is something close to a vampire non-fiction. In the world, there are people who actually live similar to vampire lifestyle. They feed on eachother and what-not. And for some reason, I am curious to read this.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑ 

➥ One of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus

One of Us Is Lying is the perfect example of a book that makes me scream inside. A mystery in high-school, where 5 students go to detention, and only 4 come back alive. Why haven’t I read this particular book already?

Verdict: KEEP  ☑ 

➥ The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1) by Rick Riordan

➥ The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan

 I have bulked these two books together, because I will only keep one. After very long consideration, I decided to keep the second book. I love Greek Mythology, and I know I will love the Lightning Thief. 

Verdict: KEEP ☑ & REMOVE ✖

We only removed 3 books this time around. It’s not as good as previous times, but we are moving slowly. Have a look at my complete TBR list.

➥ Save Me by Mandasue Heller

An interesting mystery novel, I have to admit. However, I don’t own this book and I already have so many of these on my shelves. I will try to get to those, before I go for this one.

➥ A Darker State (Karin Müller #3) by David Young

Ah, you see. Another mystery, but I do own this one. I will keep it, as I actually need to get to this one soon.

➥ In the Blood (The Witchbreed, #1) by R. L. Martinez

This choice will be tricky, because I only own the second book of the series and DNF’ed it because the plot involved stories from the first book (this one). I think  should keep it, and try to get to it, so I can give the second book a second chance as well. How often do you give books second chances?

➥ Pagan Portals – Celtic Witchcraft: Modern Witchcraft Meets Celtic Ways by Mabh Savage

This book came in my hands through a giveaway. I remember being immediately intrigued by it. I will definitely get to this one in the next few months, and if not, it will definitely be my Halloween read for sure!

➥ A Tycoon’s Secret (Sin City Tycoons #3) by Avery Laval

A fierce romance / erotica. I am not much of a fan of these, to be honest. But I did receive this one as a gift, and it’s only fair to read it. I am a bit worried that it is a third book in a series, since I haven’t read the series before, but I am sure it won’t really matter much.

Verdict: KEEP ☑ 

➥ The Complete Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

If you often read blogs about books, it’s very likely you have already heard about this book. A graphic memoir of a lady that lives in Tehran during the Islamic Revolution. I own this book, and I still don’t know how it hasn’t been read yet.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

➥ On the Other Hand: The Little Anthology of Big Questions by Renée Paule

On the Other Hand is an interesting Children’s book, therefore I would love to get to it soon. I own this book, and also a few more by Renee Paule.

➥ Black Bullet by L.D. Rose

Black Bullet is the second book from The Order of the Senary Series. I loved the first book, Releasing the Demons. It covers a vampire story, with an FBI agent in it, and the romance is so steamy. You just can’t miss this one. 

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

➥ Irène (Verhœven, #1) by Pierre Lemaitre

I have this book on my shelf because I loved the book Alex by this author. Reviews are good for Irene. What do I do… I have to let it go, for now. I don’t own it, you see. And I have many similar books I already own.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

➥ Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly

This is one of those times when you are too late to read a book, and now when all the hype is gone, you are wondering whether it’s still worth reading. This one goes, at least for now.

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

We only removed 3 books this time around. It’s not as good as previous times, but we are moving slowly. Have a look at my complete TBR.

Hello guys! Happy Saturday!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We actually have sun today in the UK. How cool (rare) is that? This time, there are a few books I am actually sad to say bye-bye to, but if I don’t tidy up my TBR on a weekly basis, it will be a mess, and I will have to hide in a cave and read until the end of time.

Also, have you guys noticed that my TBR images are getting darker and darker slowly? I wonder why…

The synopsis of Sky in the Deep seems so good, but its hype scares me. I try to avoid hype as much as I can, and I will remove this one. Have you read this book? Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed it, and I might change my mind after 🙂

A hot steamy romance – sure, why not? But a fifth book in a series – I can’t read you before I’ve read your ex-books – sorry!

➥ I Was Anastasia by Ariel Lawhon

I have always loved the mystery behind the whole Romanov family, especially Anastasia. And I have just read ”Romanov” by Nadine Brandes and really enjoyed it. This will always be a subject I am willing to read about, and I have to keep this book on my TBR.

➥ Heist Society (Heist Society, #1) by Ally Carter

I like Ally Carter’s books. They always make me giggle, and they are always a nice, fast, relaxing read. I read I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You and I loved it. I am not sure whether to continue that series, or read this book instead. Okay – time for decision making. This one goes.

➥ Battle Royale by Koushun Takami

A Japanese pulp classic, Battle Royale is a story very similar to Hunger Games. Students are thrown on a deserted island and they have to kill eachother. Only one survives. I love this topic (okay, don’t get me wrong, I completely DISAGREE that it is okay to dump people and see them kill each other. However, the twisted part of me enjoys reading these type of stories.)

➥ All the Ever Afters: The Untold Story of Cinderella’s Stepmother by Danielle Teller

We all know the story of Cinderella. Or do we? A Cinderella re-telling and a delicious, chocolate fudge eatable cover – I don’t think I will ever be able to resist this book. So why haven’t I read it yet???

➥ A Wrinkle in Time (Time Quintet, #1) by Madeleine L’Engle

You know that time when you want to read a book so badly before it comes out, and then a movie comes out as well, and there’s the hype, and you still haven’t read said book. And then two years later, you are suddenly not so sure you wanted to read this book anyways? Why do I have this feeling with this book? I will have to let it go for now.

➥ The Boy and His Ribbon (The Ribbon Duet, #1) by Pepper Winters

Okay – let me tell you a little background story about this book. I requested it on Netgalley as an ARC. Then, I got approved. After that, I forgot to download it on time, and it went into archives. I still don’t have the book, but Netgalley still counts it as something I have to read. So what do I do? I wait to get it from the library, I guess… Even though, at this point, I might as well remove it.

➥ A Queen’s Spy (The Tudor Mystery Trials #1) by Samantha Burnell

 I have received this book through a Goodreads Giveaway (WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE GIVEAWAYS IN UK ANYMORE???) I am excited to read this one, however I never really gotten my hands on it.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

➥ Clash of Empires (Clash of Empires #1) by Ben Kane

Again, a Goodreads Giveaway Book. You probably already know my rule, where I try and read every book I physically receive because I appreciate the effort of everyone involved. I also love Roman History, and it has a Macedonian history as well, with Philip The Second and Alexander The Great, so I can’t miss this.

Verdict: KEEP ☑

We only kept 5 books and removed 5 this time around. I am getting through this, but I am starting to worry I am getting weaker, as we are getting close to my recent TBR books.
