Lille, France – a place for everyone

Even though I spent a lot of time in France, I spent them mostly on the French Riviera, where Cannes, Monaco, Nice, Mougines, Valbonne and Antibes are settled.

I didn’t have an opportunity to visit places like Lille, that hold a rich variety of culture and different monuments that are a must for every tourist. The special thing about Lille is that it became french with the King Louis XIV in 1667.

I hope one day, I’ll have a chance to visit it, and until then, I’ll just admire this FR-657853 postcard from the DuDu Family .

New York City

Do you have fear from big cities? I kinda do. I live in a capital, and it’s so crowded that it sometimes scares me. I guess I just want to visit those big cities, but not live in them.

However, that doesn’t take away their beauty. They all have something very special in them. Same with New York. I’d love to go there and see everything it has to offer.

Thanks to /u/MyBFFRose, I had a chance to see New York for a second on this lovely pictures craved in the letters of the city. I wish I could see it at night, with all the lights on, and I wish I could see it by day, with all the traffic it has 😀

Always be a dreamer and never give up

Annemarie sent me this postcard of a fairy, I think, and that fairy is fixing her wing. This is one of the many reasons why I love postcrossing (NL-3358563).

There was one little girl that dreamed with her eyes open. She believed everything is possible, and therefore, she was always happy. People would stare at her and just wonder how it is possible for someone to be always happy and never to have a sad face. It was because she was a dreamer. She believed in happiness. She made happiness. She made herself wings and believed she could fly. And yes, she did fly, and people would wonder again how she did it. But she was already up above, enjoying the view while she flew.

One day, it all changed. There was this terrible storm and this strong wind, and one of her wings broke. She fell down and she couldn’t fly. It hurt her so much. Not the wing, but the fact that she couldn’t be up again, flying, among the birds, among the planes, among the clouds and the blue sky. She cried a lot, and her happiness was not here anymore.

She saw the sun the next day. And she wanted to be close to the sun so much. People expected her to be unhappy again, but no, there she was, fixing her broken wing, singing songs and smiling, laughing even. She was happy again, and she believed. She did believe she could fly again, and this time nothing could stop her, nor people, nor storms.

I saw her a while ago. She was flying and waved at me. I smiled, because I knew she was happy. I always knew she always be happy. Because she’s a dreamer. And she never gives up.

Greetings from Singapore

This is my first card from Singapore from postcrossing (SG-202555)

Thank you Kai, for reminding me of my childhood. I really don’t know why everything reminds me of my childhood! The same thing happened with this postcard. It is basically little tiles with words and pictures inside, and I remembered how I learnt the basic words and letters when I was very small. Ah, if only I could be a child again hehe 😀

St Patrick’s day!

Dear Patti Ann (IndieGal_60) ,

I need to say a huge thanks for this St Patrick’s day card! It is the first one I’ve ever gotten. It seems I’m lucky. ( such a bad St Patrick’s day joke, right? 😀 )

I love St Patrick’s day, even though we don’t celebrate it here in Macedonia. I’ve always wanted to dress all in green and celebrate with parades in big cities like Chicago or Boston, to shout and be happy and to try the green beer too!

When I think about it, isn’t it sad, how we are supposed to be happy only for St Patrick’s day? Why aren’t we happy every day instead? And fool around wearing green, or blue, or whatever we feel like wearing… Why don’t we just make our days to be holidays every day, eh? And be happy all the time.

I remember I’ve read this somewhere: “Let’s eat cake every day. It’s somebody’s birthday somewhere! ”

Happy (I know I’m late) St Partick’s day !
