Down The TBR Hole #19

down the tbr hole book books blog diary of difference

Hello guys! Happy Saturday!

Again, another Amazon Freebie batch. It seems like I have added them in a bunch on Goodreads, hey? Let’s see how we do this time around.

How it works:

❤ Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
❤ Order on ascending date added.
❤ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books.
❤ Read the synopsis of the books.
❤ Decide: keep it or should it go

Here’s the next patch:

Until Tomorrow (Christy and Todd: College Years #1) by Robin Jones Gunn

One part of me is certain that I would have loved this book a few years ago. The same part of me is also certain I won’t like this now.

Lost and Found (Growing Pains, #1) by Willow Summers

I want to read this, but so many reviews keep saying that this book practically finishes with: ”read the next book to find out more”. Have any of you guys read this book? Can you confirm on this?

Verdict: REMOVE ✖

Dixie Rebel by Patricia Rice

A book about a rebel girl, and a story close to mine. I am keeping this.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Elly in Bloom by Colleen Oakes

Interesting piece, possibly promising. Will keep it for now.

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Dear Bob and Sue by Matt Smith

I really want to read this one, especially because I love books that involve letters / emails / postcards in them. I really enjoy that. And look at that cover. It’s so gorgeous!

Verdict: KEEP  ☑

Legacy Rising by Shane Scollins

Mystery one. I’ll keep it! It seems like a short read and something I might enjoy!

Verdict: KEEP ☑

  1. I would be interested in Dear Bob too! Perks of being a Wallflower is one of my favorite books and I LOVE the way it was written so I would read anything like that now.

  2. I think I would remove The Legend of Juliet since the series is being discontinued…why invest in something that might abruptly end? It’s a difficult decision to make though! I am happy I found you and I appreciate the recommendations. I am always looking for new series and trilogies to read (feels like they last longer). I don’t mean to add to your never ending TBR list (sorry, not sorry! lol) but I have a must read for anyone who loves greek mythology and strong female leads. It’s a part of a trilogy (yipppeee) and it’s called “The Winnowing” by Patrick Garner. Greek Goddesses have to return to America to stop a group of scientists from quite possibly ending the world. It’s like superheroes meet mythology meet fantasy meet historical fiction (if you think mythology counts!). I could not put this book down and have told all of my avid reader friends about it. I hope you will at least check it out – http://www.thewinnowing.website/ – Let me know what you think!

    1. Hi Amy,
Pat Garner here, the author of “The Winnowing.” Thanks for the praise. I’m thrilled to report 5-star only reviews to date and great feedback. Glad you liked it. Volume 2 is well on its way–hang in!
