Hi Everyone! Sorry I am late and posting this on a Sunday night – but hey, yesterday in the UK we had the hottest day of the year. I wasn’t sure if we are ever getting the sun again, so I had to make the most of it! 🙂
Welcome to the 34th edition of my Down The TBR Hole Posts.
How Down the TBR Hole works:
❤ 1. Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
❤ 2. Order on ascending date added.
❤ 3. Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books.
❤ 4. Read the synopsis of the books.
❤ 5. Time to Decide: keep it or should it go
Here’s the next patch:
➥ Model Spy (The Specialists, #1) by Shannon Greenland
This reminds me of Ally Carter’s ”I’d Tell You I Love You but then I’d Have to Kill You”. I loved that book… I am not sure what to do, but I do think I will pass on this one.
Verdict: REMOVE ✖
➥ Passenger (Passenger, #1) by Alexandra Bracken
Not quite sure about this one…
Verdict: REMOVE ✖
➥ The Wife Before Me by Laura Elliot
A thriller about which I was very hyped when it came out, and then my friends were disappointed. And now, time has passed and I am not that fussed about it anymore?
Verdict: REMOVE ✖
➥ Carve the Mark (Carve the Mark, #1) by Veronica Roth
I am not sure about the synopsis, but it is the writer of Divergent, so I am having trouble deciding. I think I should pass.
Verdict: REMOVE ✖
➥ Blood Symbols by Izak Botha
I won Blood Symbols as a giveaway, and if you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I always try and read all the books given to me. I will keep this one, because it somehow reminds me of Dan Brown’s type of books on the first sight, and I am eager to read more.
Verdict: KEEP ☑
➥ Raven’s Gate (The Gatekeepers, #1) by Anthony Horowitz
I bought this whole series at a work event, and I still haven’t started it. I love the synopsis, but especially I love the art on the cover.
Verdict: KEEP ☑
➥ Wonder by R. J. Palacio
You have all heard about Wonder. The only reason I still haven’t watched the movie is because I own the book and should read it soon. I will definitely read it this summer!
Verdict: KEEP ☑
➥ Daisy’s Vintage Cornish Camper Van by Ali McNamara
This was my birthday gift to myself, as I love camper vans and I am dreading for a road tour adventure. I need to read it as soon as possible!
Verdict: KEEP ☑
➥ The Bone Witch (The Bone Witch, #1) by Rin Chupeco
This book was recommended to me by Mel from Meltotheany, when we were talking on Instagram on how to pronounce the name Tea, as that’s my sister’s name. Mel said there an awesome series with Tea being the main character, and I just have to read it!
Verdict: KEEP ☑
➥ The Children of Men by P. D. James
A dystopian world where children don’t exist and the last generation of people are infertile adults. I would love to see how this has been executed!
Verdict: KEEP ☑
I only removed 4 books this time around and currently have 365 books on my TBR list. This is how my TBR list looks now.
Which books would you keep or remove? Let me know in the comments.
Keeping a lot huh?
Yess 😀
I’ve been meaning to read Children of Men! I wonder if it’s different from the movie.
You made some tough choices there, but I think you did well! It’s so hard cutting down the TBR list.
I wasn’t a fan of Passenger so I totally approve removing that one.
I’ve had Carve the Mark for a few years and not got around to reading it yet. Glad you kept Daisy’s Cornish Camper Van as it is amazing.
Removing books from your TBR is so hard! Good job!
I need to do another one of these posts soon!
Making progress!
I really love this idea! I definitely am going to have to start doing this. My TBR is out of control!
Thanks for sharing! I need to do a clean up soon!
