This is my week’s postcard haul! I hope that you’ll like it!
Keep Calm and Read Harry Potter postcard – which I love so much! It came from Postcrossing – RU-6594139. Special thank you to Sasha from Russia. And Sasha – congrats on passing all of your exams. That’s amazing! Harry Potter fans – how do you like this?
Postcrossing postcard again, this time coming from Turkey. TR-376480. Thank you Eda, I really loved this postcard! The writing says Happy Ramadan, which is the biggest Muslim celebrations in the world. The building behind is the blue mosque and it’s very famous and beautiful!
This amazing postcard comes from the Goodreads Postcard Exchange Group that I am into. Each month, we send a postcard to one person from the group, and the June theme was: Where do you usually read?
Thank you Manisha, for sending me this amazing postcard!
Postcrossing again – this time from Wei from Taiwan (TW-2550963). I think this postcard is amazingly cute, and there are also lovely drawings at the back. So cool!
Do you like sending postcards? If you like the idea – it’s never to late to start. Check out Postcrossing, or send me a message. It’s an amazing hobby that I have apart from reading, and I love it!
The amazing community of lovely people always brightens up my day!
Special thank you for these four postcards/cards! I love them all dearly!
Thank you to:
/u/stockman1984 , for the universe postcard (top left). I loved the quote you included inside! It is truly amazing!
/u/MaeveTheBrave , for the lovely donut card (top right).
Amazing ”did you know” – Vermont’s capital city, Montpelier, is the smallest state capital in the USA – population wise! Less than 9000 people live there! I had no clue about this – and thank you for teaching me a fact or two 🙂
/u/bubs57 , for the YESSS! card (bottom left) and the amazing Nutella recipe! I haven’t tried it yet, but most certainly will soon!
P.S: If anyone wants the recipe, please let me know 🙂
/u/gigi700gigi , for the amazing Morning Sun Postcard (bottom right). You have a lovely handwriting, Gina! I loved the postcard and I would love to visit Califonia some day!
Blaze Knight has been though hell and back, but the nightmares aren’t over yet!
This might be one of the best vampire books I have read. The story behind it is different than any other vampire books I’ve read before.
When you combine vampires and humans with superpower abilities – you get the hybrids that are in this book.
There are six ”brothers” who are vampire hybrids and they all have different abilities.
This book focuses on Blaze, who went through seven months of hell.
His tattoos can’t cover the scars he will have for life. But meeting the love of his life might make his burden weigh less – or will it?
This is a story that will bring you on the edge and make you bite your nails constantly – but it is definitely worth reading it!
A huge thank you to the author L.D. Rose for sending me a copy of this amazing book for my honest review. If you think you might like this book, you can check out the rest of her amazing books as well – www.writerldrose.com .
What are your favorite vampire/paranormal romance books?
This will be my first real celebration of Halloween since I moved in the UK. I didn’t celebrate it last year, but now I have moved into a house on the ground floor, and I can actually put decorations and greet little scary kids, so I am really looking forward to the 31st of October.
Do you have any tips for me, as a first time celebrator?
In the postcard that Anouk sent me from The Netherlands, he writes that he hates Halloween, because he is easily scared.
And here I am, not really sure what to do, and how to properly celebrate it. I shall put decorations in front of my house, and a pumpkin, which symbolizes that you want kids knocking on your door. I have already bought candies and a lot of little surprises, and I am all hyped up, even though there are 3 weeks to go until Halloween actually comes.
What is your experience with Halloween? I am looking forward to hearing your answers 🙂
When the love for receiving postcard will combine with the love of art, this is what happens.
It makes my day!
For those that are not aware, Carl Larsson was a Swedish painter, mostly painting using oils, watercolors, and frescoes. He considered his finest work to be Midvinterblot (Midwinter Sacrifice), a large painting now displayed inside the Swedish National Museum of Fine Arts.
The postcard that I have received is called Brita in the Drawing Room.
I really love it and this that it is ahead of its time.
Thank you Joe Canzano for sending me this beautiful book!
The name of the book is: ”Suzy Spitfire Kills Everybody” – Joe Canzano and you can find it on this link.
First of all – this book is AWESOME. The character of Suzy is described so perfectly well, and it fits her role and it reminds me of myself so much, that I was laughing at scenes in the book where I probably shouldn’t.
The scenes are amazing. This book takes you to an incredible adventure in time and space, introducing a new world, different than the one you are used to, and it takes you all the way in – leaving you breathless until the last page.
It is a story where Suzy kills her uncle and she’s not wanted on Earth. But soon she finds out that her father has been killed, and he has created something that endangers the whole universe. With a great motive behind her, she is determined to find that little something and save the world? Or is she?
With the great help of many others that she is not sure whether they’re trustworthy until the very end, she goes into this adventure, ready to lose it all, just for a very strong motive of unconditional love – even if it means her death.
Definitely a must read for every single person that loves fantasy, mystery, adventure, romance, thriller. It is all well put into this incredible book.
I remember my visit to Zurich, in February 2015, for a European Karate Championship.
I didn’t see an much of it as I truly wanted, but I got a little view of this wonderful city in a same condition like I see it on this postcard. And ahh, it brings me so many amazing memories from that time.
Marco (/u/penguinsontv), thank you so much for reminding me of this city!
